This project of 5 model units consisting of 2 Independent Living cottages, 1 Independent Living apartment, and 2 Memory Care apartments in Opelika, Alabama, was designed with the town’s small-town vibe in mind, giving our team the creative opportunity to innovate and play with a cozy feel. Design decisions were guided by the desire to create inviting, cohesive spaces that reflect the warmth and comfort of southern living. We incorporated regional textures and elements, and furnished the units with cozy sofas, chairs, end tables, and beds, complemented by accessories and throws to evoke a sense of home. As usual, all selections were made with a senior-focused mindset, ensuring practicality and comfort in every aspect, from furniture heights to ease of use. Our approach aimed to create not just living spaces, but havens where prospective residents truly feel at home.
